What is EP Reporting?

The Electrophysiology EP Reporting module comes as standard within EKORA®, complementing the full suite of modules essential for all Cardiology departments.  It has the ability to integrate with an HL7 scheduling feed to provide an overview of EP lists as well as providing a comprehensive one-page reporting functionality to record all types of EP procedures . It allows quick and efficient recording of vital information for any ablation including ablation type, lesion parameters, operator, procedure location, medication administered, venous access, complications and baseline characteristics for reporting.

How does it differ from other solutions?

With busy Cardiology departments, who are often undertaking multiple patient procedures daily, a robust, simple to use and time saving system to record EP procedures is vital. Legacy systems used across the UK are often complex with multiple screens/pages for each report with no ability to pre-populate on a per-operator basis for different common procedures.

The EKORA EP Reporting module provides a one-page simple report with the ability to create global and personal templates for different procedures by different clinicians, with preselected options already filled in making the reporting of common procedures quick and easy with minimal input required.

Whilst the data is held within patient records and the EKORA EP Reporting modules, standardised PDF reports can also be sent directly to the relevant hospital patient information system via a simple API for a holistic patient view.  With an appropriate data feed the output of the EP recording system (e.g., GE Cardiolab®) can also be integrated into the report.

What are the benefits of EP Reporting on EKORA®?

Clearly, with multiple EP procedures being undertaken daily in busy hospitals, having a simple one-page templated system not only saves clinician time but as it also fully integrates with other modules within EKORA® such as the Cath Lab module it provides a complete patient report available to all clinicians at the touch of a button. The use of standardised fields also means users are able to make full use of the main Reporting module to run reports based on different parameters to provide invaluable operator and departmental level data insights about different types of procedures.

“With the EKORA® EP Reporting module there are no lost reports in paper-based patient records, just a time-saving, user-friendly comprehensive system that also provides insightful data about the procedures we undertake in our department.” NHS Tayside
