Before implementing EKORA, NHS Tayside Cardiac Physiologists were spending over one day each month managing stock through a manual process. Once the Physiologists had completed their stock management tasks, this information was then shared with the Accounts Team, who used it to generate financial reports.
While this system worked, it wasn’t efficient. The constant back-and-forth between teams and reliance on manual tracking slowed things down, leaving less time for patient care.
EKORA streamlines inventory control, allowing Physiologists to scan stock in and out in real-time, automatically updating the system with accurate information. This means the Accounts Team no longer wait for the Physiologists to manually compile stock data and have the ability to generate stock reports instantly. This has seen the department reduce stock management time by 80% giving them full confidence in EKORA.
The results have been immediate and transformative, with eighteen full days of Physiology time saved allowing for a potential 36 additional clinic sessions made possible with the freed-up time which equates to 324 extra patient appointments that the department could accommodate.
Scott Ferguson, Lead Physiologist for Cardiac Rhythm Management Service shared,
“With EKORA, we have not only reduced our stock management time but also significantly improved our patient care capacity. Our teams now work more efficiently, confident in the EKORA’s ability to manage stock seamlessly.”
