EKORA®, an Edinburgh-based digital cardiology patient management solution has secured two significant partnerships to support its international growth. Developed by two practicing cardiologists who recognised a gap in the market whilst working at NHS Tayside, EKORA is now active across the NHS including NHS Lothian and NHS Arran and Ayrshire. Collaborations with Diktamen in Finland and Cardiobase in Australia mark a major step toward bringing its comprehensive cardiology care platform to healthcare providers worldwide.
Through its partnership with Diktamen, a Finnish software developer specialising in patient documentation and transcription services, EKORA will bring its advanced capabilities to Finland. One standout feature for the Finnish market is EKORA’s remote device monitoring capabilities, which enables providers in remote areas to access cardiology patient data instantly, overcoming longstanding challenges in data sharing and accessibility.
Meanwhile, Cardiobase, a leading provider of cardiology software solutions active in the Australian market since 1989, will widen EKORA’s reach in Australia. Together, the two companies will enhance service offerings and deliver streamlined, paperless solutions for cardiology practices across the region.
Designed by cardiologists for cardiologists, EKORA’s platform is designed with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by cardiology care providers. This unique expertise ensures that every feature addresses real-world needs.
EKORA’s offering provides up to 14 comprehensive modules with all plans including its standout device monitoring module which consolidates live data from all device manufacturers into a single platform. This feature eliminates the need for fragmented systems, giving healthcare providers immediate access to critical information.
Additionally, EKORA’s stock management module has been revolutionary for cardiology departments. Feedback from NHS Tayside in Scotland revealed that EKORA reduced stock management time by 80%.
“Both Diktamen and Cardiobase are leaders in their markets, and we are delighted that these partnerships align so well with our mission to enhance patient care by eliminating paperwork, streamlining workflows and freeing up clinical time,” said Dr Alan Robertson, EKORA co-founder.
Dr Robertson was inspired to take EKORA global during his time working in Melbourne, where he recognised the universal applicability of EKORA’s solutions. “Cardiology device brands are consistent worldwide, and EKORA’s design is adaptable to the unique needs of each market, making international expansion a natural evolution for our platform,” he added.
